My niece made this for Thanksgiving this year and we really loved it. It's a bit like candied fruit. Try this flavorful chutney on bruschetta or crackers with some cream cheese or other soft cheese. Great appetizers! It can also be served as a side dish or in sandwiches.
This alternative to traditional cranberry sauce includes chopped pistachios, fresh ginger, chopped dried figs (available in November and December), a bit of cayenne pepper, and chopped oranges.

ReplyDeleteYes, SB, there are so many wonderful chutneys from India. I love trying the many chutneys and pickles my Andhrah daughter-in-law makes.
